Green Valley's Solar Expert — Serving Henderson's Premier Community

Daniel Hadobas · 174 Five-Star Reviews · Las Vegas Native Since 1996

Solar in Green Valley, NV typically costs $19,950–$28,500 for a 7–10 kW system (Nevada's sales-tax exemption is already applied; the 30% federal credit ended Dec 31, 2025), with payback in roughly 9–12 years for a cash purchase — though NV Energy's rising rates keep pulling that number down. Green Valley HOAs may regulate placement under Nevada law (NRS 278.0208) but cannot deny solar applications. Daniel handles the HOA paperwork as part of every install.

Green Valley is Henderson's premier master-planned community — one of the most desirable residential areas in the entire Las Vegas Valley. With single-family homes averaging 2,200 to 3,500 square feet, high household incomes, and a mix of older construction and newer builds in Green Valley Ranch and Whitney Ranch, this is an ideal solar market. NV Energy serves all of Henderson including Green Valley, which means residents qualify for Nevada's solar incentive stack: net metering at 75% retail, sales tax exemption on equipment, and a property tax exemption on solar-added home value. (The 30% federal tax credit ended Dec 31, 2025 for systems you buy; only leased or PPA systems may still capture a federal incentive through 2027.)

Daniel Hadobas has been a Las Vegas native since 1996 and knows every neighborhood in Henderson and Green Valley personally. He's not a rotating national sales rep — he's local, he's accountable, and his 174 five-star reviews reflect it. Green Valley homeowners face the same NV Energy rate structure as the rest of Las Vegas, with bills commonly running $250–$380 per month in summer. A properly sized solar system drops that to a $15–$40 monthly residual, with most homeowners achieving full payback in roughly 9–12 years for a cash purchase now that the 30% federal credit has ended — though NV Energy's rising rates keep pulling that number down.

Nevada Solar Incentives for Green Valley Homeowners

Federal Tax Credit — Expired Dec 31, 2025 for Purchases

The 30% federal solar tax credit ended December 31, 2025 for systems you buy with cash or a loan. A leased or PPA (third-party-owned) system may still capture a federal incentive through the end of 2027. For Green Valley homeowners who buy, the real value now comes from Nevada's sales-tax and property-tax exemptions, net metering at 75% of retail, and locking in your own generation cost against rising NV Energy rates.

Nevada Sales Tax Exemption

All solar equipment purchased in Nevada is exempt from the state's 8.375% sales tax under NRS 374.2911. For a Green Valley system, this saves $1,200–$2,000 at the point of purchase — applied automatically, no paperwork required.

NV Energy Net Metering (75% Retail)

Henderson and Green Valley are fully within NV Energy territory. Excess solar production earns credits at 75% of the retail electricity rate, applied monthly with a 12-month true-up. Proper system sizing ensures you maximize these credits year-round.

Nevada Property Tax Exemption

Under NRS 361.079, the added home value from a solar installation is fully exempt from Nevada property tax assessment. Green Valley homeowners see their home value rise without any corresponding increase in their annual property tax bill.

"Daniel is very good at his job. Makes you feel as a valued customer. He was very helpful through our nearly 3 month solar panel install project. He was proactive throughout the project always letting us know what to expect in the next step and was quick to respond to our questions. The SunSolar Solutions crew that we dealt with from the installers, their inspector, and Angel, the last tech who came through to finish up the project were all very polite, informative, and professional. Would recommend them when considering solar panels."

"What a great experience with Daniel at Sunder Energy. We were actually going to go with another solar company, but when Daniel showed up, he pitched us his services. He walked us through the different products and which solar company would be installing our equipment. Daniel was with us every step of the way. Even when we had some issues with the installation of the equipment, Daniel made the calls to have the technicians come back and fix everything. Even when he was out of country, Daniel always returned our calls and text messages in a timely manner. Truly responsive! A few days after the installation, he even stopped by and had us load solar apps on our devices and walked us through what to expect. Although we were nervous in the beginning, Daniel made the whole experience worthwhile. Totally awesome customer service! If you're looking into solar, look no further. Give Daniel a call — you won't regret it!"

"This review is long overdue but I am glad we are finally getting to rave about how amazing our experience with Daniel and Sunsolar has been. I was EXTREMELY skeptical about the whole solar idea since my husband and I had such a horrible interaction with another solar company. A few weeks later Daniel knocked on our door. He politely asked if he could return the next day with a more in-depth proposal and if we were still not interested, he would 'kick rocks'. The following day he showed up on time, fully explained every detail, and even I, the self-proclaimed queen of skepticism, couldn't turn down the offer. A HUGE plus is that he didn't try to over-sell us more equipment than we needed. From start to finish the project took less than a month — not at all what we expected. From our interactions with Daniel down to every employee we spoke with, we were 100% impressed. We are now extremely happy solar owners and would highly recommend them to anyone on the fence about solar."

⚠️ 2026 update on the federal tax credit

The 30% federal residential solar tax credit (Section 25D) expired on December 31, 2025 for systems you buy with cash or a loan. Cost and savings figures on this page that assume that credit may be out of date. Two things still apply: Nevada's sales-tax and property-tax exemptions and NV Energy net metering, and systems on a lease or PPA may still qualify for a federal incentive through the end of 2027. For numbers that reflect today's incentives, book a free review and talk to a tax professional about your situation.

Solar FAQs — Green Valley & Henderson, NV

How much does solar cost in Green Valley Henderson?
Green Valley homes typically support 7–10 kW systems. At roughly $2.85 per watt before incentives, that's $19,950–$28,500 — Nevada's sales-tax exemption is already applied, and the 30% federal credit ended Dec 31, 2025, so there's no further reduction for a cash or loan purchase. $0 down financing is available, and most Green Valley homeowners start saving from their very first month.
Does my Green Valley HOA allow solar?
Yes. Nevada law (NRS 116.2111) prohibits HOAs from banning solar panels. Your HOA can regulate placement and aesthetics but cannot deny your application. Daniel Hadobas handles all HOA submissions and any required architectural review board approvals as part of the process.
Is Daniel Hadobas local to Henderson?

His 174 five-star reviews are from real local homeowners, not national marketing.
What are my solar savings in Henderson NV?
Henderson gets 290+ sunny days per year, and NV Energy net metering credits your excess production at 75% of the retail rate. Most Green Valley homeowners see their monthly energy bill drop from $250–$380 down to a $15–$40 residual.
